These terms apply to purchases of The Germany Letter Kit on thepriceofgermany.com. Please read them before you buy.
1. Who is who
The kit is created and licensed by Justin Espada, Germany (full provider details in the Imprint), referred to below as “I”. Checkout, payment, VAT, invoices and refunds are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record. Your contract of sale for the purchase is with Lemon Squeezy, and its buyer terms apply to payment, taxes and refunds. These terms set out what you may do with the kit and what you can expect from me.
2. The product and delivery
The kit is a digital PDF with 25 letter and email templates in German with English translations, notes on deadlines and common mistakes, a letter guide and a glossary. After payment, you receive a download link by email from Lemon Squeezy, normally within a few minutes. You need a PDF reader. The fill in boxes work best in Adobe Reader, Chrome, Edge and Mac Preview on a computer.
If you do not receive the email, check your spam folder, then write to [email protected] and I will send you the file.
3. Price and payment
The price shown at checkout is the price you pay. Available payment methods are shown at checkout by Lemon Squeezy.
4. Your right to use the kit
You receive a personal, non transferable right to use the kit for yourself and your household, for private and your own business correspondence. You may print it, fill in the templates and send the letters you create. You may not resell the kit, share it publicly, upload it to a website, file sharing service or community, or give copies to others. The copyright stays with me. Please do not remove copyright notices.
5. Right of withdrawal and refunds
If you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have a 14 day right to withdraw from a purchase. For digital content that is delivered immediately, this right expires once delivery begins, if you expressly agreed to immediate delivery and confirmed that you lose your right of withdrawal. Lemon Squeezy asks for this at checkout. In addition, I offer a voluntary guarantee: If the kit is not useful to you, email me within 14 days of purchase and I will refund you in full, no questions asked. Details are on the Refund policy page. Your statutory rights are not affected.
6. Defects
If the file is damaged, does not open or does not match the description, you have the statutory rights for defective digital products. Please contact me first. I will send you a working copy or put it right.
7. No legal advice
The kit contains general information and templates. It is not legal, tax or immigration advice and does not replace advice for your situation. Rules and deadlines change and differ by state, contract and case. You are responsible for checking that a letter fits your situation before you send it. For important matters, ask a Mieterverein, the Verbraucherzentrale, a counselling centre or a lawyer.
8. Liability
I am liable without limit for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, under the Product Liability Act, and wherever the law requires it. For slight negligence, I am only liable for breach of an essential contractual duty (a duty whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible and on which you can regularly rely), and only for the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract. Otherwise liability is excluded. Mandatory consumer protection rules remain unaffected.
9. Updates
I may update the kit from time to time. A right to updates is not part of the purchase unless the product page says so.
10. Data protection
How personal data is processed is explained in the Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to these terms
I may change these terms for future purchases. The version that applied when you bought the kit stays valid for that purchase.
12. Applicable law and severability
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live remain unaffected. If a provision of these terms is invalid, the remaining provisions stay in force.
